Domain pricing is deliberately hard to compare. Registrars advertise a low first-year price and recover it on renewal, so the cheapest listing is frequently the most expensive over the life of a domain.

TLDRadar pulls live registration, renewal and transfer rates from more than 50 ICANN accredited registrars and puts them side by side, so the real multi-year cost is visible before you buy rather than after.

What it does#

• Live price comparison across registration, renewal and transfer, not just the headline first-year rate
• Multi-year cost calculator that projects total spend and exposes the renewal markups a listing price hides
• Active promo codes, tracked and verified rather than left to go stale
• Availability checks over RDAP, the registry protocol that replaced WHOIS, so results come from the registry rather than a cached third party
• Registrar directory and pricing guides for the research that sits behind a purchase decision
